When Tsipras sent Mr Lafazanis to hoodwink Putin
THIS IS THE TRUTH ABOUT THE RUSSIANS THAT TSIPRAS IS TRYING TO HIDE IN HIS BOOK!
The truth is that Putin in the first half of 2015 lived very closely and very actively the “Greek debt crisis” trying really and honestly to help Greece “cope” with the Troika!
In the end, however, he also suffered ... “Tsipras " - as did the Greek people!
However, there are still some stories that I will tell later.
( Oh, and in order not to have ... refutations, let me remind you that for all this there are also witnesses and documents and correspondence and recorded minutes!)
... and what reminds us of what happened in the 2nd quarter (April - June) of 2015!)
👉 Then, around mid-March 2015, the 'First Time Left' (how Syriza was portrayed) with a little of Kamenos
* since February 20, he had legalized the memoranda - and agreed to extend them-in the famous Eurogroup with the Troika,
after sending various "emissaries” around the world, from China and Hong Kong to the Gulf states, to sell "Greek bonds" for hot money-by the way ... with terrifying commissions and kickbacks,
* after seeing and watching and while the Troika was tightening the noose,
he decided, hesitantly, to ... try at least something bew to go to Moscow too!”
The Kremlin, which was following with interest the developments in Greece, responded immediately and very practically:
the first mission was set for March 26 with a really broad agenda. The head of the delegation was appointed the then Minister of Development and National Economy, Stathakis at the invitation of his counterpart Manturov and scheduled meetings with almost everyone in Moscow!
* Stathakis, however, at the last minute cancels his trip because ... he was afraid and ... he froze! (True!)
👉 the lot falls to then Energy Minister Lafazanis,
who arrives in Moscow on March 29 - but with a mandate that the agenda be left to energy (so that the ... Troika does not get angry!)
Oh, and on the same day that Lafazanis arrived in Moscow, Tsipras, for a counterweight, had sent Kammenos to Washington who ... then proposed to hand over Karpathos (!)to the Americans for a military base!
👉 Lafazanis is received with honors and serious meetings, beyond the "energy", with Putin's top people from the Kremlin, and most importantly:
He realizes - with pleasant surprise-that the Russians have and propose to the Tsipras/Kammenos government, a “sustainability plan” for Greece!
"Plan" that begins:
* with the immediate implementation of huge infrastructure projects in Greece, with guaranteed funding from the Russian side,
* upgrading Greece to the role of " southern entry into the EU” of all trade routes from Eurasia:
* Natural gas to Southern and Central Europe and Italy (63 billion cubic meters per year was delivered by Gazprom to Greece for distribution!)
* Oil and petroleum products - even for B. Africa - through the Rosneft agreement with HELPE,
* Modernization of transport-and especially of Greek Railways-with Greece as a “centre of traffic” on the North-South and East-West axes. Full electrification and automation, new expressway lines for the interconnection with Budapest, Istanbul with the "Egnatia railway"and to the ports of the Black Sea.
* Large industrial production investments in Greece, from fertilizers and ammonia in Kavala to petrochemicals in Thessaloniki or Boeotia - even production of railway rolling stock (locomotives and wagons) in Piraeus or Thriasio etc etc etc
* Tourism etc
The most important thing for the then government, was that the “plan” envisaged not only the productive reconstruction of Greece but also immediate cash in hand that could exceed 20-25 billion euros within the 2015 period
* Modernization of transport-and especially of Greek Railways-with Greece as a “centre of traffic” on the North-South and East-West axes. Full electrification and automation, new in 2015, as:
prepayment for 15 years in advance of " transit fees” for gas to Europe,
* Direct low-interest lending by state-owned Russian banks (VEB, RBRD and) against infrastructure projects; and
* Borrowing of Greece from the BRICS Bank and the Eurasian Development Bank!
To Lafazanis 'question" and how do we start? "the Russians simply told him" think about it and if you are interested, let Tsipras come to Moscow to formally agree with the president and to commit to bilateral agreements”.
✔️ These were discussed on March 31, 2015.
In less than a week, April 6, Holy Wednesday indeed Tsipras arrives in Moscow at Putin's invitation, with him is an army of ministers and advisers and the whole family…
And here begins the 'tragicomedy' story of the next three months
So, Tsipras, great week of 2015, in Moscow with the whole cohort and the family, agreed and committed to everything!
And he announced them in a joint interview with the Russian President!

In fact, in the "private" meetings he asked Putin 1-2 extra things:
* "All possible assistance in negotiating with the EU and D.N.Putin promised to talk to Merkel and Hollande in person,
"Possible help if for any reason Greece goes bankrupt or exits or is kicked out of the euro! Putin pledged, though he indicated that Greece would be more useful as an” ally, " inside rather than outside the EU.
🤯 From this point and after the announcements and greetings begins the 'theater of the absurd':
* From the Russian side:
Here are the agreements with Gazprom with guaranteed quantities of gas at the Greek-Turkish border for transport to Europe,
Here are the studies and plans for the southern Pipeline F. Gas with zero Greek financial participation,
Here are the written proposals of the banks for the lending of Greece
Here is the Rosneft memorandum-HELPE,
Here are the agreements and the comings and goings of Spirtzis for the major projects and the modernization of the Railways
Here is the proposal for Greece to become a 'shareholder' in the BRICS Bank for access to finance,
✔️ Ministers, Putin advisers, delegations, coming and going Russia-Greece, others Official / others Incognito…
Tsipras goes to Russia once again, Putin comes to Greece and at least 7 phone calls of the two are announced in three months
The best part is that Putin is almost the agent of Tsipras. :
- Talks directly to Merkel about "restructuring the Greek debt with a new bond, from sources outside the EU mechanism and without a memorandum " - advises Tsipras "to take Merkel for a walk in the park the two of them to agree",
- German advisers / former ministers come to Athens and stay up all night at Maximos for the "debt restructuring"
Same to Hollande, though Putin says 'Merkel is key'
On the side of the Surrealists now.:
There is not even a practical step towards what has been agreed.
And many times with excuses and pretexts for ... laughs:
- one time the founding law in Parliament was wrong for the new state company that would build the pipeline and receive the relevant funding and transit revenues!
- the next day they were 'missing' for ... weeks the Ministers responsible for some matter or other...
- while interested in investing in industries and infrastructure, the priest instead, tried to convince them to ... put money to buy him or his own ... Mega Channel!
- even the ... emissary sent for the Bank of BRICS (a Roumeliotis, former minister of PASOK) lost the ... way, supposedly confused and did not go to the appointment!
- More like that, a whole lot.
Total mockery!
✔️ At the same time:
* Kotzias votes in NATO for invitation to B. Macedonia, Montenegro, Moldova and Georgia to become members-approves NATO military exercises on Russia's borders,
Kammenos is on a roll and offers the U.S. any island or territory they want for bases and missiles,
* Tsipras himself votes in the EU, without any objection or asterisk they say, for sanctions against Russia even against people he personally meets
When asked questions from the Russian side, Tsipras's explanation is an easy lie.:
- ”For ... cleansing" is justified…
"The biggest thing, however, is what happened with the printing of a new currency that he asked the Russians for.
On July 7, 2015, two days after the 63% “No”referendum,
Tsipras ' top minister is in Moscow for meeting with top Kremlin figure:
The meeting has been requested by Tsipras in a phone call to Putin the day before, a day after the referendum.
- Subject of the meeting;
- The printing of a 'new currency' for Greece in a Russian Mint and an urgent plan for the supply and operation of Greek society in the event of an exit from the euro!
✔️ After all the final details are agreed in the sense of “extreme urgency” - another expert visit to Moscow had preceded - such as “specifications and delivery for printing dies”, paper specifications, quantities, transport in Greece by special transports to Eleusis, storage of stocks in vaults in Russia etc etc.
there are other problems of the transition period-such as the supply of gas and oil from Russia without payment-to Greece.,
- the supply of food to the Greek market from Turkey and Serbia,
- medicines from Russia, Hungary
etc etc etc
and while everything has been agreed, the Greek minister jubilant sets off for the return flight to Athens

However, a phone call from the Kremlin asks him to return from the airport " for something new”.:
Returning, the Greek minister, hears his interlocutor say to him:
- "It probably doesn't make sense what we agreed because you won't need a new currency!
President Putin was informed on a phone call by Hollande that Tsipras is already committed and Greece will sign a new memorandum with creditors in a few days.
Greek Minister froze stating,
"What can I tell you?;
I will be informed in Athens”"
In fact, on July 12, kolotoumba took place, the 3rd (and ... longer) memorandum was signed, and so she cries-as she says - Peristera, every year on such days!
* The Putin - Hollande phone call is confirmed by the former French president / from his point of view of course,
* More "cynical" is Kammenos, who also wants to take credit for contributing to the 'kolotoumba' pirouhette:
In an interview with ANT1 last year, he reveals that the 3rd memorandum was the result of an agreement between Tsipras and the US that would essentially transform it into the main ally of the United States in the Mediterranean.
This was achieved on June 25, 2015, Kammenos says:
"as Defence Minister, I called Deputy Foreign Minister Victoria Nuland and told them that" I as Defence Minister am securing a defence agreement that will include the expansion of Souda, the Port of Alexandroupolis, the military base at Stefanovikio for NATO helicopters, NATO UAVs in Larissa and Greece would be transformed into a major partner of the US in place of Turkey in the Mediterranean."
👉 Judging by Tsipras ' stance, I personally do not think that the decision on the 'kolotoumba' pirouhette and the agreement Kammenos says with the Americans was made suddenly or even after the 2015 elections!
Everything was pre-determined.,
Some who know, insist that such agreements had been made as early as 2012 and also predicted the moral execution of the left and every Resistance Movement!
Just as he made fun of everyone, so he tried to make fun of Russia.
That they believed him and tried to help, is simply proof that another path of self-reliant growth for Greece is possible!
